2026 Freeman 42LR “OPTIMUS PRIME”

This 2026 Freeman 42LR “OPTIMUS PRIME” is an extensively customized offshore catamaran powered by quad Mercury V10 400 HP outboards with only 120 hours and 1,600 total horsepower. Finished with a Matterhorn White hull, black powder coating, custom upholstery, and a full DekIt package, this Freeman combines serious offshore fishing capability with an extensive list of factory upgrades and custom-built features.

Built to the specifications of a repeat Freeman owner, “OPTIMUS PRIME” stands apart with a custom tower, inward-hinging dive door, flush-mounted Lonestar drum windlass, custom switch panels, upgraded electrical systems, and additional raw-water plumbing. The boat was configured with a focus on offshore fishing, functionality, and attention to detail throughout.

The electronics package includes dual Garmin 22” GPS displays, a rear-facing Garmin 16” display, Garmin 6’ open-array radar, SIONYX night vision, Garmin GSD28 and GSD25 sounder modules, and a high-performance transducer package featuring a 3kW Airmar R599 and 1kW B175HW.

Fishing equipment includes six under-gunwale electric reel outlets, extensive rod storage, a 1,200-quart coffin box, multiple insulated fish boxes, backing plates on all rod holders, and an additional raw-water system with six spigots.

With only 120 hours, quad Mercury V10 power, joystick control, custom tower, premium electronics, and an extensive list of nonstandard factory options, “OPTIMUS PRIME” is one of the most extensively customized Freeman 42LR builds available.
